Located in the bustling heart of North Sydney, Falcon Lodge offers simple, low-key rooms with shared bathroom facilities, making it an economical choice for budget-conscious travelers. The rooms come equipped with flat-screen TVs and access to free Wi-Fi, while select accommodations include kitchenettes for meal preparation. Though modest, the lodge provides a practical base close to Miller Street’s eateries and the recreational attractions of Luna Park and North Sydney Olympic Pool.
The atmosphere suits travelers who prioritize location and value over luxury. While air conditioning is available, the lodge lacks on-site parking, restaurant, and fitness amenities. Family travelers will appreciate its kid-friendly environment, and the friendly 24/7 staff ensure help is at hand. The surrounding neighborhood provides plenty of options for dining, public transport, and walking tours around the city’s iconic landmarks.

“The place is located is very convenient location, close to all major places like metro, bus stops and shops. The prices are very reasonable. The rooms are not really good but comes with basic amenities that are needed and ok for the price. Staff available 24/7.”
“Great leafy city suburb location next to a big park that’s great for exercise. Very central, so buses and metro make it simple to get around and the local bus stop is right outside. Some of the local bus routes include access to downtown Sydney, Manly, North Shore beaches, Warringah Mall, Royal North Shore Hospital and Chatswood Shopping Centre. The lodge is also walking distance to the Harbour Bridge, supermarkets, local shops and a large variety of restaurants in Crows Nest and Neutral Bay. Uber pickup/drop‑off on the side street “Bardsley Gardens” was roughly 30 minutes to the airport on my early morning trips. Car rentals are based in North Sydney with an entrance next to Woolworths Metro on Miller Street. Perfect base for various coastal walks around Taronga Zoo, including the Spit to Manly walk with great harbour views. As a working holiday maker, I found the private rooms with shared facilities really suited my budget compared to many other places in Sydney. I enjoyed my stay and found it a far better base than staying in the city, with quick access to the northern beaches and convenient access to the CBD nightlife.”
“I had a very pleasant experience here. The staff were very friendly and they are always available and easy to reach. The hotel environment was also well-maintained. The rooms and common areas felt clean, fresh, and comfortable throughout my stay. Recommended to anyone looking for a budget friendly accmodation.”
“I had a very pleasant stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout my visit. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around the city.”
“I had a wonderful stay in Room A27 at Falcon Lodge for 2 weeks, and can’t recommend it enough. The location is absolutely the best – close to everything you need yet peaceful enough for good night’s rest. The staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The linen was spotlessly clean, which added to the comfort of the stay. Considering the reasonable price, you truly get what you pay for – and then some. Great value all around. Will definitely be back!”
“I stayed at Falcon Lodge last April, and it completely exceeded my expectations for budget-friendly accommodation in Sydney. If you are looking for a simple, safe, and highly convenient place to base yourself, this is an amazing find. While the rooms are basic and rely on shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, I was consistently impressed by how spotless everything was kept. The cleaning staff clearly works very hard—the shared areas were always tidy, and I never once had to wait in line to use the showers. The bed linens and towels provided in the room were also fresh and clean. The location is a massive plus. Nestled in North Sydney, it’s just a short walk to local shops and cafes. Getting into the CBD or heading down to Luna Park and the Harbour Bridge was an absolute breeze, especially with the bus stops right nearby on Falcon Street and Miller Street. Finally, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always happy to help with a smile or transit tips. Yes, some of the hallway carpets are a bit tired, and there's no air conditioning, but for the price point in a city as expensive as Sydney, the value is simply unbeatable. I highly recommend it for any traveler wanting to save costs without sacrificing cleanliness or convenience!”
“Had some family members staying here as not enough space at home. Very well located and price value is great. Don't expect a shiny castle with facilities good but a bit dated. but given the low rates totally fine. Will book again. Very nice reception staff that helped out with evert question.”
